I sat around at the in-law's all day Saturday and by 7:30 I couldn't take it anymore, so I loaded up and headed to Nedo's to see if I could catch a bass. I stopped to grab a box of bee moths and a box of crawlers. I caught a bluegill that I put on a hook for bait and waited. I kept fishing for gills while I waited on something to hit the gill I had under a bobber. I fished until I was out of bee moths and switched over to crawlers. I had just put a crawler on the hook of my bluegill rig and threw it out. I put the pole between my legs while I reeled in the other line to cast it out again. The bobber above the crawler went under and disappeared. I figured it was a gill and finished reeling in the other line. I grabbed the bluegill pole and quickly realized it wasn't a bluegill on the line. I held the rod as high as I could while I was battling what was on the other end. The reel only has four pound test, so I wanted to keep it away from any sticks under the water. After a two to three minute, it felt like a lot longer than that, fight I was finally able to wear the fish down and get it in the net. I need to keep a photographer on hand, because it is really hard to take a picture of a fish like this by yourself... It wasn't the longest fish I have caught there, but I think it was probably close to the heaviest.
